John Larson Says He Was for Keeping Glass-Steagall, But Didn't Show Up for the Crucial Vote that Would Have Saved Millions of American Lives from Being Ruined; Went to Snap Photos with Clinton Instead

_______________

Representative John Larson, a former history teacher representing the First District in the United States House of Representatives, says he was for supporting a Depression-era law that would have helped deter the economic collapse of 2008. Only problem is he didn't show up for the vote. "If I missed it, there was a good reason for it," Larson said.

The reason was sweet photo time with Bill Clinton in the Hispanic Hood of Park Street in Hartford.

Larson is up for re-election Nov. 2. He represents the towns of Berlin, Barkhamsted, Bloomfield, Bristol, Colebrook, East Granby, East Hartford, East Windsor, Gastonbury, Granby, Hartford, Mancheter, Middletown, New Hartford, Newington, Portland, Rocky Hill, Southington, South Windsor, Torrington, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Winchester, Windsor and Windsor Locks.

Oh, and, the story itself is about some guy who has no chance of beating him.

UPDATE: CT Captiol Report has released a poll that says Larson's Republican opponent, Ann Brickley, is within seven points.
