Chris Dodd and Jim Himes Love Taking Wall Street Dough

The Huffington Post published a list of "The 15 Biggest Congressional Recipients of Wall Street Campaign Cash" and coming in at a not-so-surprising 4th is Chris Dodd, with first-year Rep. Jim Himes at #11. Himes was elected just a year ago and has already taken over $430, 000 from Wall Street firms, the biggest donors being Credit Suisse and Citigroup. But Dodd blows the rookie out of the water, taking in $752, 698 in campaign donations. According to the Post, "He's received more from the mortgage banking and brokerage industry than any other congressperson, and Citigroup, AIG, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, and Morgan Stanley have been among his biggest donors."

The list is split pretty evenly between Republicans and Democrats, showing us that Wall Street has so much doughlow that they'll throw money to both parties. It doesn't even matter who wins -- Wall Street will be sitting pretty either way -- even if they mess up, go bankrupt and get the government to have us taxpayers bail them out with 700 billion dollars. Oh wait, that already happened.
